Ingredient Driven Food & Drink and Chef Guided Experience

Ingredient Driven

Circa 1890 – Thomas Edison arrives in South End with the intention of using his infamous harnessed electricity to separate gold from local Charlotte soil. While his effort proved to be an exercise in futility, the Wizard of Menlo Park would later cross paths with local industrialist Edward Dilworth Latta. Bonding over the food and drink of their day, the two men devised Charlotte’s first light rail system; a $40,000 investment used to transport Charlotteans between downtown and the Queen City’s first suburb, Dilworth. Just as Edison, Latta, and the passengers of their time, travel with us to this innovative era to celebrate Charlotte’s rich history over inspired fare and libations.
